Setelah sebelumnya saya membahas sedikit tentang kaligrafi tulisan Arab di sini ditambah buku kaligrafi untuk didownload, banyak juga kegiatan yang mengisi waktu-waktu saya sehingga belum sempat untuk mengupdate blog sederhana ini (sebenarnya cuma alasan kalau malas menulis postingan). Tidak tahu mengapa, kali ini saya ingin membuat postingan dalam bahasa yang cukup resmi (semoga tidak kaku membacanya). Maklum, anak muda masih labil kadang rapi kadang berantakan.
Seperti yang telah dipercayai oleh agama-agama bahwa selain dunia fisik yang kita lihat sehari-hari, terdapat dunia lain yang tersembunyi (metafisika) yang tidak dapat kita jangkau dengan panca indera biasa dari mata, telinga, lidah, hidung, dan kulit. Dalam dunia tersebut, hukum fisika yang telah ditemukan manusia tidak banyak berbicara. Menembus batas, ruang, dan waktu.

Manusia sendiri ternyata bukan semata-mata makhluk hidup yang hanya memiliki badan fisik dalam dirinya. Ada pula badan metafisik (badan astral) yang juga mempengaruhi kehidupannya. Kedua badan ini saling terikat dan memiliki penampakan yang mirip namun badan astral tampak seperti asap putih tipis (seperti hantu di film-film). Badan astral tersebut dapat menembus benda-benda fisik yang padat. Kedua badan ini menjadi satu pada saat kita terjaga dan sadar yang membentuk diri kita.

Beberapa orang sejak lama percaya hal-hal yang berbau metafisika meskipun belum pernah mengalaminya. Namun beberapa orang mungkin masih membutuhkan bukti yang dapat meyakinkan mereka akan adanya hal-hal yang berada di luar jangkauan fisik. Pernah disebutkan oleh seorang pendiri ilmu pengetahuan Roger Bacon bahwa "Ada dua cara untuk memperoleh pengetahuan: yakni lewat argumentasi dan pengalaman.". Argumentasi memang memberikan penjelasan dan alasan rasional bagi manusia untuk percaya bahwa dunia astral tersebut benar keberadaannya. Namun tetap, keraguan sekecil apapun bentuknya masih tetap ada selama belum ada yang benar-benar membuktikannya sampai menyentuh batin manusia tersebut. Salah satu cara agar (mungkin satu-satunya) cara untuk mendapatkan keyakinan yang mantap adalah dengan mengalaminya sendiri. Pengalaman yang nyata dan jelas akan melenyapkan segala keraguan tentang keberadaan dunia metafisika.

Contoh dari pengalaman metafisika tersebut adalah terpisahnya badan fisik dan badan astral manusia sementara kesadaran manusia tersebut ikut pergi bersama badan astral. Badan fisik seakan lumpuh tak bergerak sedangkan badan astral dapat melayang dapat pergi ke mana saja yang diinginkan manusia. Dalam istilah bahasa Indonesia, kejadian seperti ini sering disebut meraga sukma sedangkan istilah ilmiahnya adalah proyeksi astral. Dalam buku yang bisa Anda download di sini, dijelaskan oleh D Scott Rogo bahwa hampir setiap manusia dapat melakukan proyeksi astral atau meraga sukma. Cara untuk melakukannya pun dapat dipelajari. Anda mungkin pernah mengalami proyeksi astral namun tidak menyadari apa sebenarnya yang terjadi. Beberapa orang cocok dengan metode yang satu, sedangkan yang lain lebih cocok dengan metode lainnya. Saya sendiri pernah mengalami proyeksi astral pada suatu malam setelah mengerjakan soal matematika yang rumit bagi saya tapi hanya berlangsung sangat singkat sekitar 10 detik. Salah satu mata kuliah yang wajib diambil adalah KKN a.k.a Kuliah Kerja Nyata. Dalam KKN, mahasiswa belajar bagaimana berkarya, menjadi bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dan juga belajar dari mereka. Ga pake bahasa resmi lagi dah, capek. KKN ku dulu Juli 2011 di perbatasan Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Barat. Menjelang berangkat harus nyiapin dulu donk apa yang mau dilakuin di sana.

Nah, salah program yang rencananya aku lakuin di sana (meskipun ga jadi) adalah mengajar kaligrafi tulisan arab ke anak2 SD sampe SMP. Karena ga punya bahan buat ngajarin (dulu waktu aku belajar cuma dari papan tulis trus dihapus), so searching2 dan akhirnya dapat juga ni linknya:

Sedikit review buku kaligrafi ini, di dalamnya dibahas sedikit tentang dasar pena yang digunakan dan detil cara menulis masing2 huruf, keadaan2 ketika disambung, and so on so forth dengan 159 halaman. Bintang lima dah. Ada lima jenis kaligrafi arab yang diajarkan yaitu

Cari Film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan?

Hari itu hari Jum'at, yang biasanya cukup panas banget pas siang. Kebetulan aku kebagian jaga warnet, jadi semalem dah siap-siap tidur lebih awal and kagak begadang ga jelas. Mungkin kebiasaan begadang ini yang membuat jerawat mulai menjamur lagi di mukaku. Habis sarapan langsung latihan gitar bentar biar jari-jari yang keriting ini makin lemas dan lincah membelai senar. Ga terasa dah 3 minggu latihan, gerakan jari dah lumayan lemes tapi masih jauh dari Super Hero wkwkwkwk.

Nah, lanjut ceritanya berangkat ke warnet. Seperti biasa, warnet cukup sepi pada jam 10.00 WIB dan aku datang on time banget not sooner nor later. Sambil ngisi waktu buka FB & twitter liat keadaan anak-anak masih pada hidup apa ga. Ga lama dateng 2 bocah SD cewek yang masih ingusan.
Bocah 1, "Baru mas ya?".
Dalam hati, kayaknya pelanggan setia warnet nich. "Koq tau?" kaya yang di gombalan Andre.
"Iya, mukanya mas ga pernah keliatan." kata bocah 2.
"Ya udah, tinggal pilih bilik nomor berapa aja (pas lagi kosong semua)." kataku.
Browsing sana, browsing sini, balik maning nang lektop, eh koq lektop FB maksudnya. Ternyata anak kecil tadi jadi member di group warnet yang aku jaga and dia posting kalo dia minta diunduhin film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan. Dengan sigap aku komeng "siap sis". Karena waktu shalat Jumat dah deket, aku pun kirim message ke setiap pengunjung kalo warnet mau off sementara selama 1 jam. Rencananya mau nyari film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan nanti abis shalat Jumat.Abis semua user pada pulang, aku langsung beres-beres and ngunci gembok2.

Ini shalat Jumat pertama di masjid sekitar warnet, jadi masih agak nyari-nyari di mana lokasinya. Pokoknya lihat orang pake baju koko abis mandi jalan, berarti di situ tempat masjidnya.Panas banget emang siang itu, pake atasan dobel lagi, tapi ga papa demi membersihkan diri (cieee...). Ga terasa dah sampe and langsung cari posisi terbaik buat naruh sandal, dah milih tempat and mau ngelepas sandal ternyata...
setengah meter dari tempat aku berdiri ada sandal yang bener-bener sama kayak sandalku o_0'
Ya wis aku langsung pindah ke sisi lain masjid daripada ketuker kan berabe, coz kondisinya masih bagusan sandalku hehehe.

Selesai shalat langsung balik ke warnet, pertama langsung browsing cari film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan yang direquest pelanggan tadi. Muter-muter dah hampir setengah jam tapi belom dapet-dapet juga tu film. Banyak juga blog yang ngaku-ngaku dah punya ato belom smpet update tapi ternyata linknya cuma jebakan betmen, sialan banget. Padahal kalo dilihat-lihat, film ntu kan dah tayang dari Juli 2011 tapi sampe sekarang masih belom ada "gratisan"nya, malah ada yang bilang juga versi DVD orinya juga belom ada di pasaran... buat mencegah pembajakan kali yach? who knows?

Dengan berat hati aku bilangin ke anak kecil tadi kalo film itu ga ada di internet. Dia agak kecewa tapi apa boleh buat, baca novelnya yang asli mungkin lebih baik karena novel pdf nya pun ga ada (di mana2 cuma hal 1-9). Film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan mengisahkan seorang remaja dengan nama Gita Sesa Wanda Cantika atau Keke yang mengidap penyakit kanker jaringan lunak (Rhabdomyosarcoma) dan terus berjuang untuk melawannya. “Film ini sebenarnya tentang perjuangan remaja, yang berjuang hidup normal walau dirinya menderita penyakit kanker ganas,” jelas sutradara Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan, Harris Nizam.

Okelah, maju terus perfilman Indonesia dengan memproduksi film-film berkualitas dan mendidik.

cause no one visited this blog (lol). How could anyone visit here and I didn't promote it?
I've been through the darkest of my life, until I read my old book The Magic of Thinking Big. It really gives some spirits, desire, and enthuasiasm for the rest of my life. Since then, I always try to fill every second I have with useful things, for others and me. That's what "big people" always do.

I remember history lesson I learned at junior high school, there was a kind of revolution happened at west europe called renaissance. I think, that's similar with what happened to me, then I call this time "renaissance of myself".

This is my first post since about two years ago. Hopefully, I'll make all of my dreams come true and see you next post :)

Secret of Color Effect for Your Website

As you had seen three major categories of colors for your website in my previous post (click here to see it), now you’ll find out which colors are included in each parts. But you need to know that these categories of colors are just an approaching to help you to decide on what color you should use in your website. There’s no such a fixed rule to choose website color.

Fresh and cool colors: blue, green, purple, turquoise and silver.

Fresh colors are inclined to affect in giving relaxed sensation for people see it. Even though these colors are used in your personal website, they can look cold or impersonal. The followings are the meaning of colors included in fresh category.
Blue
-Positive: silence, love, loyalty, safety, trust, intelligence, related to sciences.
-Negative: coldness, fear, virility (manhood).
Green
-Positive: related to money, growth, fertility, freshness, healing/medication, calm.
-Negative: jealousy, fault, chaos, confusion, disorder.
Purple
Purple is combined from blue and red. Because of that, you’ll find it whether in harm category or fresh one.
-Positive: king, spirituality, luxury, ambition, aristocratic class.
-Negative: mystery, anxiety.
Turquoise
-Positive: shield, sophisticated, spiritual, recover.
-Negative: jealousy, femininity
Silver
-Positive: glamour, high, smooth, sleek, elegant.
-Negative: dreamer, not honest.

Warm colors: red, pink, yellow, orange, purple and gold.

Warm colors are inclined to have desire effect to look. Because of that, if you use these colors for your website, they will stimulate, wake violence and anger emotions up. The followings are the meaning of colors included in warm category.
Red
-Positive: love, energy, power, might, hot.
-Negative: anger, danger, alert, impatience, misery.
Pink
-Positive: health, happiness, sweet, funny, pity.
-Negative: weakness, femininity, immaturity.
Yellow
-Positive: bright, smart, energy, sun, creativity, happiness.
-Negative: irresponsibility, instability, coward.
Purple
-Positive: king, spirituality, luxury, ambition, aristocratic class.
-Negative: mystery, anxiety.
Gold
-Positive: wealth, riches, worth, traditional.
-Negative: dreamer, greediness.

Neutral colors: brown, grey, white, black, tan, ivory color.

Neutral colors are great choices to associate with warm or cool palette. Neutral colors are very good to be background in a website. Just add black color to create darker and calmness beside main color. The followings are the meaning of colors included in neutral category.
Black
-Positive: shield, dramatic, serious, elegant, formal.
-Negative: secret, death, disaster, crime, mystery.
Grey
-Positive: safety, reliability, intelligence, density.
-Negative: sad, conservative.
Brown
-Positive: friendly, earth, outdoor, long life.
-Negative: dogmatic, conservative.
Tan (smooth wool which is still white)
-Positive: flexibility, curly, dependence.
-Negative: boring, conservative, blunt.
Ivory color
-Positive: relaxed, comfortable, purity, warmness.
-Negative: weak, unstable.
White
-Positive: goodness, innocence, purity, fresh, simple, clean.
-Negative: winter, cold, far.

There’s no definite fixed rule to color your website, thus it’s just still up to you. Although so, there are some considerations to choose good website color so that visitor will feel comfortable and enjoyed to stay in your good-colored website for a long time. Decide What Web Category You Want To Create

Website that is made by a web developer must really represent/reflect identity of a institute. The content must not be contrary to website form and its own layout. There are some points you have to consider, one of them is about website category. For example, if a web developer has job to make a children website, he/she should know things related to children world including matter about choosing font, color combination, graphic usage, animation, and other supporting elements.

Choosing used color and font type is absolutely important to give a good and long-lasting impression in user/visitor mind. Such as, if you create children website, you should use bright colors that children like, you can also insert some images and animations that can wake user passion up to spend more time to read available information.

It’s better not to insert many whether animations or images in reference website category, such as: dictionary, library and others.

Although I’ve not found yet a formal website that categorizes about each website, the following is little information may help you to classify websites based on category:

Tips For Webmaster (Or Webmaster-To-Be) To Reach The Goal

Hello, nice to see you again. As what I promised you in my previous post, what are tips for you if you are webmaster (or webmaster-to-be)? OK, I’ll try to give you some brief tips you should consider. Here are some tips for webmaster (or webmaster-to-be) to give some consideration for web developer that creating website will run along smoothly on the road you want and won’t miss the target and purpose:

Take a survey with search engine about sample existing websites and business competitor websites that are been long before. Investigate the websites carefully, if it’s necessary you can write important points which the websites have relied on. This will be really helpful for you to decide website content to be displayed.
From result of the survey, write down in detail what you want about website content you want to create. The note you’ve written will be controller to divide between important necessary part and not one. But, if you don’t have big budget, you can give precedence to the important points to display on you website.
Make a sketch of page layout (scratch on a paper using pencil to make named boxes). Imagine your website layout that you will make. Arrange main eye-catching part on top first and additional part on another side. Also try to always make other page if each page has different form.
List used keywords as search reference. Think carefully about you website content to find suitable keyword so that users can find you website quickly according to keyword you’ve decided. If you have keyword more than one, sort the keywords according to priority.
Recheck the contents in you website before launching. This will make it easy to maintain your website before getting online.

Web that is often visited by people will give more value for a web designer. Total amount of coming visitors can be indicator for someone whether succeeds or not in designing and developing a professional website.

There are some elements concerning the success, namely: usability, fast connection process, exciting view, appropriate color blending, easy-to-use-and-understand navigation, and many more (you can see my previous post “BASIC CONCEPT OF BUILDING A WEBSITE series”). There’s one more thing, it’s all depend on visitor/user response to our website we’ve created.

It’s a common thing now that website is a part of an institute identity, has same importance with company address. Website can be guide for customer to know more about an institute online. There are some advantages so that many people need its existence:

Have online address
Unlimited broad reach that is accessible for users in worldwide indefinitely non stop (24/7).
Can be our personal/company identity about self profile in order that can be known by customer when we run a business. With this, communication will occur easily.
Personal site may have function as spokesperson to pour idea, criticism, suggestion, sharing knowledge, and other conscience you to write. In the end, it will be “image branding” for concerning person. This has been done by many people, and it’s proven that many people become “IT celebrity” just because of their article on their personal sites.
Website will reflect personality or image of a company if features provided are interactive enough and dynamic.

These benefits will never show up if form and feature of website is messy. It depends on how web developer visualizes company profile into website. Although so, webmaster also has to get involved in creating and developing interactive dynamic website in order to make it fit to wanted goal and purpose. Just few webmaster have realized this. Generally, webmaster entrust all developments to web developer.

Navigation

Navigation also becomes important thing in a website. Its function is to help user to explore our website looking for needed information with ease. Nice navigation reflects good structured website.

You’ll find some navigation formats:

1. Navigation Panel

Usually in orderly arranged menus format.
It’s better to put link on left side (from your hand) or on top area from a web page.
It can be text or graphic.
It shouldn’t place too many space.
Navigation position would rather be same on each page. If you can’t, use different color.

2. Home Button

This button is so familiar in web developer circle. Main function of this button is to return to homepage.
Home button can be placed on each web page unless on main page (homepage).
Either home button or your logo can be functioned as navigation and better put them on left side (from your side).
Make sure that both home button and you logo are available on every page (except on main page) so that visitor will be more familiar to the navigation.

3. Link

If text has hyperlink, it’ll be better to underline it.
Visitors shouldn’t see mouse over or hover format in a link to make them realize that the text is a link – create real link.
Give more textual link in a website to allow visitor get reference information.
Try to prepare link structure list in real format rather than hidden inside a text. Link inside a text brings on bit slowness in reading process, but this may be a good choice to highlight particular words.
Make difference between internal links (link to inside website) from external links (link to another website).
If the link is still in one website (internal link), create link using simple text. If the link directs to another website (external link), type its complete address in text (example: http://www.anotherwebsite.com). This thing will inform visitor about another website before to click the link.
If you put external link on your website, don’t create link that will open new window using target “_blank”. This will annoy visitors.
Avoid “back button” – general command to return to previous page.
If you have link in big size file format such as .avi or .pdf, type the size in KB inside parentheses to give visitors information about related file size before downloading.
Make visitors know about link they have visited (clicked) with giving different colors. For example, from blue to red (it means that blue link is unvisited and red one is visited).

4. HTML Title

Generally placed in header HTML tag.
HTML title (as header) should be relevant to present page.
Displayed on top (top title bar) in a browser.
HTML title is very useful for who needs to bookmark your site.

5. Site Map

Site Map is a part of website page that gives information about site map.
Site map is structure of a website enclosed with links to whole relevant pages.
Has glaring link to site map of each page.

6. Search Facility

Some visitors prefer to use search facility before using other available navigation.
Some visitors use search facility as the latest facility to use.
Make sure that search facility is available on your site.
Place search box at eye-catching position on each page.

7. Graphic as Navigation and/or Link

Several web developers use graphic/image as link or navigation. Beware if you do that.
If you set border=”0” on graphic tag, this may be unclear way for visitor when you want to inform visitor that the graphic is a link.
If graphic/image is not in mouseover, visitor may not see cursor change to a hand.
Try to always make textual link for same information as graphic.
If you prefer aesthetic value, set border=”1” for graphic/image as a link.

Accessibility

Anything easy-to-access for everyone regardless to browser, platform, operating system, online or offline is important to consider while creating a website. You don’t need to block web user’s way to out; anyone can potentially be your user/customer. After creating accessible website, your website will be accessed by user/customer in many times. Accessible = visitor will come back. Difficult-to-use = visitor won’t come back.

Accessibility aspect in accessing a website needs to consider some points before planning web:

Ensure that your website is accessible for main browser most people used or other web browsers.
Ensure that your website is accessible without having to download a certain plug-in.
Examine your website while in developing stage to check its performance in various operating systems with different browser versions.
Use style sheet to separate style and content.
Use HTML tag ethics to display text you want, that it is possible for common users to read the text clearly, by using tag <em> or <strong> at Heading, and always type alternative text for images (<img src="image.gif" width="25" height="35" alt="image description">).

Graphic

Graphic element is very necessary in a website, because it has some functions. But, if there is too many used graphic, it will cause various problems for our website. To solve many unexpected problems in designing web, we should consider some point of views to use graphic:

Add graphic just as needed, because it will take too long for user while downloading desired article.
Use the smallest file size if possible.
Don’t use navigation in graphic form if you want to make your website in several languages this will need some extra work.
Always keep giving high and wide specification in tag <img src>.
Always type border value=”0” in tag <img src> or some browsers will display blue color around the edge of graphic if it is a link.
Always type alternative text in tag <img src="image.gif" alt="description">. Some users sometime turn off graphic displaying so that connection processing will be faster. If graphic is turned off, and we don’t type any alternative text, the users will not know what image is about.

New Technology

Internet world has been growing rapidly and made some developers add new technology to display needed application.

As a web developer, of course must always be up-to-date and follow growth of cyber world in order that no problems will be encountered that is caused by using out-of-date technology.

These are some points we should think about what technology will be used when we’re making a website:

Avoid using old technology more than two years ago.
Avoid making website that forces users to have to download some certain software first.
If you have new technology in a website, just create its mirror site address with giving users choices before entering your site – don’t use a browser plug-in that is detected to have link redirecting.
Just leave new technology if it’s not popular.
If you use new technology in making your website, check its usability out from all existing types of website.
Monitor your website statistic to know how many users have had the latest plug-in before planning your website.

Usability

Usability is a very important thing in web designing. We know that it’s good to have a dynamic website that looks professional, but if it takes too long time to download an article or to use navigation is so difficult and complicated, so don’t wonder if user will escape from your website and will never come back again. It needs to know, most users want to get information quickly though website appearance is ordinary and usual. User often straightly close web page when look for information if it takes too long. Remember, don’t ignore usability aspect to design website.

Simplicity

Simplicity is really important in building a professional web. Simplicity here is not related to display of a site, but more related to writing technique.
There are several things you have to pay attention to, so that simplicity concept will be applied in writing web articles:

Use heading and sub heading to separate text part.
Use blank white-colored space wisely.
Make sure that you don’t have more than 14 words in each line.
Write the articles shortly – not like something composed so long.
Highlight important words.
Use bright background color if you use dark color in writing main text.
Use dark background color if you use bright color in writing main text.
Avoid using too many colors, particularly sharp combination for those color blinds to read text.

Writing Concept

Concept of writing web articles is a bit different in comparison with concept of writing articles for publishing purpose (printed articles). You know that the time is the most important thing for internet users, so that they will not ever want to waste it just for reading an article with a million words.

Some recently conducted researches revealed that internet users had tendency to examine texts on monitor screen. Besides, they read faster on monitor screen than on papers. Then how does concept of writing web articles?

There are several concepts in writing on the web:

The fewer the better – just always keep consistent: make sentence structure as simple as possible, or make short sentences.
Highlight words or important expressions in many times but not too much.
Make bullets or numbers if needed.
Make pages length shorter – avoid excessive screen scrolling (vertical scroll).
Use link to highlight and lead the users to further information.
Avoid using expressions that are not descriptive, such as “click here” – try and use descriptive words for links.
Avoid using <hr> (horizontal rule) to separate text body: use many titles, sub headings, and white space instead (this emerges better and more readable, <hr> (horizontal rule) also many people hate).
Avoid center alignment – not comfortable to read.
Avoid italic text too much – not comfortable to read too.
Keep content from style – use style sheet and insert other supporting file.

Before building a website professionally, the important thing must be done by a web developer is describing what ideas and concept will be included in each web page. Thus, a web developer, too, need to discuss with web master so that everything web master wanted will be covered.

Different with a web developer who has freedom in building website, web master commonly entrust entirely to web developer. If so, web developer must really prove his/her skills in building website professionally to make web master feels satisfied not disappointed with the result.

Becoming a web developer is not so easy, because he/she must combine web programming language with art in each web page. He/she must have both two, if just one of two, he/she doesn’t deserve to be called a professional web developer. Although expert in PHP to build a website, without a sense of art, the result will not be best. The other way, expert in making good display of web pages without knowledge about web programming language, it’s just no use.

As a beginner web developer, I (probably you too) don’t need to be discouraged if I want to be a professional web developer. The important is presence of a burning desire in our heart to always learn and learn, in order to widen our horizon about web developing. There is something to know for beginner web developers when first time building a website from zero. We have to understand some basic concepts to make our web look professional, starting from used tools, exact image format, until choosing color text and background of web page.

Hello! Just call me Poorpluto. I think the most sacred relationship I've ever known in this world is friendship (I don't get married yet :p). It may be because of it I made this blog. It's important for you to know that I'm not native English speaker (from Asia), so I hope you'll understand if I'm mistaken to write posts as the essence of language is to move information from one another (don't read aloud or my English teacher will go mad).

I'm really interested in web design, web development, programming and stuffs related to them. I nearly forgot, drawing sometime becomes what I like in empty time. Do you know Manga? It's Japanese comic. I really love it, especially Detective Conan.
